Breast Drill
|
This tool has two speed settings and a level. It was used to drill holes in wood, metal, and masonry. The breast drill is a larger version of the hand drill with the addition of a curved saddle shaped plate fitted to the top of the frame. By leaning on the breast plate while turning the crank the farmer could exert a lot of force against the material. |
